City to Begin Defense of European Crown
The dates and times for Manchester City's 2023-24 UEFA Champions League group stage fixtures have been announced. The English champions will begin their defense of the European crown on September 6, when they host FC Sevilla at the Etihad Stadium. City will then travel to Borussia Dortmund on September 13, before hosting FC Copenhagen on September 27. The group stage will conclude with a trip to Sevilla on October 11 and a home match against Dortmund on October 25.
City are in Group G of the Champions League this season, alongside Sevilla, Dortmund, and Copenhagen. The top two teams from each group will advance to the knockout stage, which begins in February 2024. City will be looking to reach the final of the competition for the third time in four years, after winning the title in 2020 and losing to Real Madrid in the final in 2022.
