216 Prospects Selected Across 7 Rounds

Draft Postponed Due to COVID-19 Pandemic

The 2020 NHL Entry Draft concluded on October 6-7, 2020, with a total of 216 prospects selected across 7 rounds. Originally scheduled for June 26-27, the draft was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The New York Rangers selected Alexis Lafrenière with the first overall pick, followed by Quinton Byfield to the Los Angeles Kings and Tim Stützle to the Ottawa Senators.

The draft pool included players from North America, Europe, and Russia. Each player's career statistics were taken into consideration, including points per game, penalty minutes, and save percentage for goalies.
