Iphone Share Wifi Connection With Mac

How to Share Wi-Fi Password Between Mac and iPhone

A Quick and Easy Guide

Step 1: Make Sure Your Mac is Connected to Wi-Fi

Ensure that your Mac is connected to the Wi-Fi network whose password you want to share with your iPhone. You can check this by clicking on the Wi-Fi icon in the status menu in the top left corner of the screen.

Step 2: Open Keychain Access on Your Mac

Launch Keychain Access, which is a built-in Mac utility for managing passwords. You can find it in the Applications > Utilities folder or use Spotlight Search to locate it.

Step 3: Find the Wi-Fi Network's Password

In Keychain Access, click on the "Passwords" category in the left sidebar. Then, in the search field, type the name of the Wi-Fi network you're connected to. Double-click on the network's entry to view its details.

Step 4: Check the "Show Password" Box

In the details window, check the box next to "Show Password." You may be prompted to enter your Mac's administrator password to authorize this action.

Step 5: Copy the Password

Once the password is visible, copy it to your clipboard by clicking on the "Copy" button. You can also manually type it down.

Step 6: Go to Wi-Fi Settings on Your iPhone

On your iPhone, go to Settings > Wi-Fi. Find the Wi-Fi network you want to connect to and tap on the "i" button next to it.

Step 7: Tap on "Password"

In the network settings, tap on the "Password" field. Long press in the field and select "Paste" to insert the copied password from your Mac.

Step 8: Connect to Wi-Fi

Once the password is entered, tap on "Join" to connect your iPhone to the Wi-Fi network. You should now be able to access the internet using the shared Wi-Fi connection.
